Elemental is Pixar’s newest animated movie with a unique concept, but will it be enough to receive the sequel treatment, and has there been any Elemental 2 news? Pixar’s Elemental was released on June 16 with very high expectations. The movie takes place in a city where air, fire, water, and earth residents reside but do not interact. When a fire element named Ember (voiced by Leah Lewis) meets a water element named Wade (Mamoudou Athie), the two fall in love even though they cannot touch each other. This forces them to reexamine their elemental identities and how their city’s different neighborhoods are separated.
