The ending of Ronald D. Moore’s Battlestar Galactica secretly set up a perfect opportunity for a modern reboot decades later. A new BSG reboot has been mooted for years, but to date nothing concrete has been confirmed. While many viewers may think there’s nothing left to do with Battlestar Galactica after Moore’s critically acclaimed gritty reboot from the mid-2000s, the story has arguably become more relevant. In Hollywood both screenwriters and actors are on strike, citing concerns around the use of Artificial Intelligence by the big studios to cut the costs they have to pay to creatives.
