Fire Guts Ebonyi Nightclub, Destroys Property Worth Millions Of Naira

An early morning fire engulfed the popular Roky Fella Night Club situated at Udoji Street, Kpirikpiri, Abakaliki, on Wednesday, causing extensive damage to property estimated at millions of naira.

Mr. Raphael Ibiam, the Ebonyi Chief Fire Officer, confirmed the incident, stating that he received a distress call around 6:30 am.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, but it consumed valuable assets within the building, including a generator, three large refrigerators, a bush bar, drinks, empty crates, and more.

Fortunately, there were no casualties as the fire department responded promptly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighboring structures.

Despite efforts to extinguish the fire, the entire clubhouse was razed down, resulting in the destruction of television sets, air conditioners, electronic devices, musical instruments, assorted drinks, and other valuable items.

The prompt action of the fire department prevented further escalation of the fire to nearby properties.
