Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, is backing his former club to go all the way and win this year’s Premier League title.

The Gunners are top of the table with 10 fixtures left.

Mikel Arteta’s men beat Brentford 2-1 on Saturday, while their title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City played out a 1-1 draw 24 hours later.

This left Arsenal with 64 points, ahead of the Reds with goals difference and one more than City.

Wright was asked on Monday Night Football what team he expects to win the title.

He replied:

“Of course, I’m going for Arsenal!

“With what happened last season, they know what they need to do. They’re in great form, all the players are fit now.

“I’m not gonna sit here and say, ‘Oh I hope…’ That’s not what the players want to hear. They are very focused, a tightly-bonded team with a manager who is ambitious and very focused on what he wants to do.”
