BUSTED! Nigeria Police Arrests Suspected Kidnapper, Rescue Victims

The Delta State Police Command has arrested a suspected kidnapper and rescued three kidnapped female victims.

They said the kidnappers earlier demanded N15 million ransom for their release.

The victims were kidnapped on their way to the hospital and they are back to the hospital for medical management.

The suspects were discovered when a hunter was going about his job in the thick forest in Egbudu-Akah community, Aniocha South LGA, where he sighted a group of people suspected to be kidnappers and their helpless kidnapped victims.

He quickly escaped from the bush and reported his findings to the police.

Upon receiving the information, the DPO mobilised his patrol team and men of the vigilante and swiftly moved into the forest on a rescue mission.

According to SP Edafe Bright, Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Delta Command, while the operatives were close to the den of the kidnappers, they were sighted, and the criminals took to their heels.

“In the process of the exchange of fire with the team of officers in a bid to escape, one suspected kidnapper was arrested and three kidnapped female victims were rescued.

“Upon search of the scene, three cutlasses, two TECNO phones, a solar panel, a power bank, charms, two torchlights and some other food items were discovered, ” he said.

Bright revealed the suspect and exhibits have been transferred to SCIID for further investigations.
