Genesis is coming for the X-Men, and the upcoming war may see Apocalypse acquire the power of the immortal Phoenix. Apocalypse has been on the sidelines for some time – following the events of X of Swords, the timeless mutant reconnected with his estranged wife and children and joined them on the dark world of Amenth. His wife, Genesis, is not one to stand idle for long and has recently returned to Arakko to reclaim it for herself. While Genesis marches to re-ignite her eternal war, Apocalypse was last seen declaring he has his own forces to gather.
