Why Peter Pettigrew Betrayed Harry Potter’s Parents (& How He Managed It)

Peter Pettigrew was revealed to be the one who betrayed the Potters to Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter, but why did he do it? James and Peter had been friends since their early days together at Hogwarts, along with Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. The group called themselves the Marauders, and they got up to all kinds of mischief (including bullying Severus Snape) while attending the ancient wizarding school. Unfortunately, the friendship fell apart once they had all left Hogwarts and joined the Order of the Phoenix, and this all came down to Pettigrew’s decision to sell out James and Lily Potter and join the Death Eaters.
