Who Is Dementus? Chris Hemsworth’s Furiosa Villain & Mad Max History Explained

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will introduce a new villain to the franchise in the form of Chris Hemsworth’s Dementus, but who is this warlord? While Mad Max: Fury Road still focused on Tom Hardy’s titular wasteland warrior, the story was very much driven by Charlize Theron’s Imperator Furiosa. Furiosa was the best driver of the tyrant Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), and she later used his War Rig to free Joe’s wives from slavery and drive them back to her homeland, the Green Place. Aside from Fury Road’s incredible action and world-building, audiences also fell in love with Furiosa as a character.
