“What P-Square, 2Face, D’banj Sacrificed For Us Is What We’re Enjoying Now” – Davido (VIDEO)

Afrobeats superstar, Davido has stated that Nigerian artists are enjoying now because of the sacrifices of their predecessors.

The DMW record label boss made this known in a recent interview where he also spoke about how Sony Music had signed him, making it his first international deal in 2016.

He said that he had to make an album with the renowned label and since they were the ones signing him, they chose the producers and other members of the music team for his production.

The Grammy nominee stated that the album was a flop by his standards, and he had to return to his roots in Nigeria and used his own producers because the ones provided by Sony failed to understand the African music style.

Davido added that the prominence Nigerian artists are benefiting from now was the hard work of the previous generation of artists such as P-Square, 2Face, Dbanj, and from the works of the present generation of artists, the upcoming generation would gain more.
