“We Are So Quick to Turn Against Our Own” – Singer, Falz Defends Alex Iwobi

Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz the bad guy, has criticized online trolls for bullying Super Eagles player, Alex Iwobi.

Following criticisms of Iwobi’s alleged poor performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final, where he subsequently deleted all his photos, Falz defended the player.

He said that every player representing Nigeria at AFCON made sacrifices and should not be subjected to mistreatment.

Falz shared a picture of Alex Iwobi on his Instagram, condemning cyber-bullying and expressing his support and love for the player.

He wrote;

“We win together, we lose together. Every single player that puts on the green white green to represent us, is making an immense sacrifice and does not deserve to be treated with this much disdain.”

“We speak a lot about cyber-bullying but we are so quick to turn against our own. @alexanderiwobi Love you bro! Thank you.”
