Ways Skyrim Was The Perfect Sequel To Oblivion
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was released in 2006 to massive success. As such, it made sense that Bethesda would then go ahead with a sequel. However, true to Elder Scrolls tradition, the next game in the series would take place in an entirely new part of Cyrodil. Oblivion took place in the civilized city center of the fantasy region, but Skyrim is the northernmost region in the fictional content and home to ice-hardened Nords. What’s more, Skyrim also takes place over two-hundred years after the events of Oblivion.
