Video: Osun residents confront and assault House of Reps member over unmet campaign promises.
In a startling turn of events, residents of Osun State took matters into their own hands as they descended heavily on a member of the House of Representatives for allegedly failing to fulfil campaign promises.
The House of Representatives representing the Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin federal constituency of Osun State, Hon. Olusoji Adetunji, visited Ada, his home town, ahead of the Sallah festivities, when the constituents descended on him.
A viral video sighted by our correspondent showed the moment the Reps member was ambushed by his constituents following his arrival.
According to reports, the people of Ada felt insulted by the Sallah handouts he came to give them while riding in his expensive car.
Locals can be seen screaming and calling for the Reps member to be beaten as they surround him.
One woman was seen cautioning the man filming against recording the incident.
However, the person behind the camera insisted on filming as he insulted the representatives and other politicians, calling them “mad people”.

The development has generated mixed reactions from netizens, with many saying more of it should be expected across the country soon due to hunger and economic hardship.
