The Strangers Cast & Character Guide

The Strangers tells its unique horror story with a blended cast of established actors and relative unknowns. The film, from writer-director Bryan Bertino, follows a couple, Kristen and James, who find themselves at the mercy of a trio of masked killers, with no apparent motivation for the home invasion attack. It’s a chilling film, one that does away with the moralizing tone of teen slashers which punish drinking and premarital sex. Instead, the film presents a darkly nihilistic vision of the world, in which violence invades the home and can’t be reasoned with.
