The Pacific: What Happened To John Basilone’s Wife, Lena Riggi

The powerful miniseries, The Pacific, provides a detailed look at the lives of three U.S. Marines in World War II, but it does not detail what happened to Lena Riggi after her husband’s death. Praised for its honest and visually stunning depiction of real-life events, the film is backed up by cinematic legends Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. It does an excellent job in terms of historical accuracy and its captivating main characters are based on real-life World War II heroes. Given that the show had the constraint of being a miniseries, it is not surprising that events had to be condensed and stories weren’t able to be fully concluded.
