The Meg 2 Director Is Ready To Helm A Godzilla Or King Kong Movie: "There’s Unfinished Business"

The director of The Meg 2: The Trench gave insight in a recent interview into the kind of monster movies he might want to tackle next, sharing aspirations of taking on a film in the King Kong or Godzilla universe. The Meg 2 follows the events of the first entry, with protagonist Jonas Taylor facing not only the return of the Megalodon but new threats as well. The film stars Jason Statham of the Fast & Furious franchise, Avatar: The Way of Water‘s Cliff Curtis, and Shuya Sophia Cai, who appeared in the original Meg film.
