The recent leaks from the making of The Last of Us Part III are a promising sign for the future of the HBO series. After adapting the first of two existing Last of Us games into the first season of the TV adaptation, showrunners Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin are halfway to running out of source material. They may have to adapt The Last of Us Part III before it’s even been made. Adapting unreleased sequels didn’t work out too well for Game of Thrones, but leaks and rumors from The Last of Us threequel suggest a promising future for the HBO show.
