The Continental EPs Explain Why John Wick Spinoff Isn’t Set In The Present

The Continental executive producers Erica Lee and Basil Iwanyk reveal that the series was originally going to be set in the present day and explain why that didn’t work. A number of Continental Hotels have been introduced in the John Wick movies across the world, including in New York, Osaka, Rome, Casablanca, and Osaka. The New York Continental Hotel was first introduced in the original John Wick, with Winston Scott as the manager. The new prequel series digs into Winston’s origins and how he came to be the proprietor of the New York Continental Hotel in the 1970s.
