The Batman 2 Is Already Being Improved By DC’s Gotham Changes

Matt Reeves’ The Batman presented a surprisingly grounded take on Batman and Gotham City, but DC’s changes to Gotham are already setting The Batman – Part II up to be even better than its predecessor. Batman movies have been trending more and more towards realism since Batman Begins and the rest of Nolan’s trilogy proved to be critical and commercial hits for DC, but The Batman proved that there’s still plenty of engaging room to explore in the down-to-earth Batman mythos. Not only was Bruce Wayne himself more fallible and The Riddler more grounded than ever before, but the city at large seemed like a living, breathing space.
