Stephen King: Why Hollywood STILL Can’t Get Children Of The Corn Right

While author Stephen King has had an abundance of his novels adapted into movies and television series, to varying degrees of success, one particular Stephen King movie, Children of the Corn, has never had a good adaptation, despite a dozen tries, due to some major creative differences. The Children of the Corn film franchise first begin in 1984 with the titular film, Children of the Corn. After that, eight more films were made with different levels of continuity and accuracy to the story, and in 2009 and 2020, two more separate adaptations were made. Every Children of the Corn movie performed poorly upon release.
