Stephen King movie adaptations were all the rage during the ’80s and ’90s, but as their critical and commercial receptions dipped, they became more sporadic in later years. 2017’s IT: Chapter One kicked off a whole new wave, leading to a second Golden Age of King adaptations that led to the likes of Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep.
