Star Trek’s Big Voyager Rivalry Is Totally Dropped After Episode 1

Star Trek: Voyager set up a huge rivalry between two major characters in the pilot episode, but the fight was completely dropped during the rest of season 1. Voyager‘s pilot, “Caretaker” set up a number of storylines that would carry through the rest of the series, most notably the crew’s quest to get back home after becoming stranded in the Delta Quadrant. The pilot also began establishing crew dynamics going forward, introducing the beginnings of friendships, romances, and rivalries that would play out over the rest of the series.
