While the majority of the action in Star Trek is confined to starship interiors and alien locations, every now and again characters are allowed outside to embark on some spectacular spacewalks. The vacuum of space is possibly Star Trek‘s most dangerous location, given the extensive dangers presented by UV radiation, lack of air oxygen, and freezing temperatures.
