SpongeBob SquarePants: 15 Dark Fan Theories

SpongeBob SquarePants is one of Nickelodeon’s most popular kids shows, but the surreal nature of its animation and some of its more bizarre plotlines have led to dark SpongeBob theories running rampant on the internet. The entire premise of SpongeBob is strange, as the show follows a seemingly ageless yet childlike sponge named SpongeBob Squarepants who lives in a pineapple with his snail Gary and works as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab while trying to attain his boating license. In the mix as well are his caustic neighbor and co-worker Squidward, dimwitted best friend Patrick, greedy boss Mr. Krabs, and the adventurous squirrel Sandy.
