Sinister 2 Ending Explained

While Sinister 2 didn’t quite replicate the success of its predecessor, the horror sequel’s creepy ending did pack a punch. Sinister was a tough act to follow. Director Scott Derrickson’s 2012 horror movie saw Ethan Hawke star as a washed-up true crime author who moved his unknowing family into a house that recently played host to a set of grisly killings. Sinister’s unique villain, a demonic entity named Bughuul that inhabited physical media, was memorable enough in its own right and Hawke’s relationship with the inexperienced Deputy So & So was charming. However, it was the movie’s brutal ending that left viewers reeling.
