The Conners may be looking at a significantly shorter season 6, making its biggest challenge worse. ABC’s Roseanne spin-off sequel has become the network’s leading comedy for a couple of years now. Originally a revival of the hit family sitcom from the ’90s, Roseanne Barr’s firing from the show forced the show to pivot creatively and move forward without her. Admittedly, it wasn’t easy, especially considering that the Conners matriarch was not only the series’ titular character, she was also its heart. Eventually and through great writing, The Conners was eventually able to get its footing, and five years later, it may be reaching its final stretch.
