SAG-AFTRA Deal With Studios Reportedly In "Final Stretch" To End Actors’ Strike
SAG-AFTRA is reportedly in the final stretch of negotiating with the AMPTP to bring an end to the actors’ strike. SAG-AFTRA, the leading labor union representing Hollywood actors, has been on strike for 108 days as it seeks better working conditions and protections for those in the acting industry. The union’s primary concerns were better pay, job security, and residuals for streaming projects, as well as protection against AI using actors’ likenesses without permission or compensation. While the writers’ strike ended on September 27, the SAG-AFTRA strike charged on; however, an end may now be in sight.
