Rick & Morty Season 7 Story Tease Proves The Show Can’t Hide From The Justin Roiland Recasting

While Rick and Morty’s first season 7 teaser trailer looks like it will address the show’s most important plot, the outing can’t do this without drawing attention to former star Justin Roiland’s absence. Justin Roiland played Rick and Morty in the first six seasons of the Adult Swim hit. He also played the show’s primary villains Rick Prime and Evil Morty, as both of these characters were variants of the show’s eponymous heroes. In January 2023, Roiland was charged with domestic battery and accused of inappropriate behavior. The actor was dropped by Adult Swim as the network announced they would continue production on Rick and Morty season 7.
