Picard Deleted Scene Hints Beverly Keeping Jack Crusher From Jean-Luc Helped Him Become Borg
A deleted scene from Star Trek: Picard season 3, episode 9, “Vox” hints that Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) might have been able to identify Jack Crusher’s (Ed Speleers) potential to become a Borg if he and Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) raised their son together. Jack succumbed to the organic Borg DNA he was born with and was assimilated by the Borg Queen (Alice Krige), becoming Vox of Borg. The Queen’s ultimate goal was to evolve the Borg via the assimilation of Starfleet, and Jack was the key.
