Paramount Shuts Down Killers of the Flower Moon Intermission Efforts At Theaters (Despite Epic Runtime)

Paramount steps in to stop a handful of theater owners who have taken it upon themselves to insert an intermission into Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon. Running for three hours and 26 minutes, Scorsese himself previously weighed in on criticisms which suggested his latest historical epic may run for too long, suggesting that people can “sit in front of the TV and watch something for five hours.” However, since his movie’s release, a few exhibitors scattered across the globe have been attempting to break up its runtime by inserting their own intermissions midway through a showing.
