Panic As Three Youths Are Shot Dead In Delta Community

Godwin Ogberahwe, also known as Last Don, who previously served as the Vice President of the Mosogar Reformed Youth Association, is among three individuals who have tragically lost their lives in the community within the past six days.

These incidents have raised suspicions of a potential cult rivalry.The other victims include one Efe Oki, and another individual whose identity remains unknown at this time.

Speculations suggest that these killings may be linked to the upcoming election rerun in the Local Government council by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), or the election of a new president for the community youth body.

Reports indicate that Ogberahwe had previously survived a gunshot wound in early January, only to be fatally shot again on Sunday.

Mosogar community, situated in Ethiope West LGA, is home to the Delta State College of Physical Education and serves as the country residence of Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Chief Ighoyota Amori.

In response to inquiries, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Bright Edafe confirmed that the deaths were the result of a suspected cult clash.

He assured that the police command is actively working to apprehend the perpetrators involved in these tragic incidents.
