Nicolas Cage’s Evolution Into A Drunk Old John Wick Teased By The Retirement Plan Director: "Takes It To A Higher Level"

Though having an action genre history all his own, writer/director Tim Brown teases John Wick and The Equalizer‘s influences on Nicolas Cage’s character for The Retirement Plan. The action-comedy centers on Matt, a retired beach bum whose granddaughter shows up on his doorstep in the Cayman Islands with news that his estranged daughter and her husband are in trouble with local gangsters and needs his help, unearthing his own dark past. Alongside Cage, the star-studded cast for The Retirement Plan includes Ashley Greene Khoury, Ron Perlman, Jackie Earle Haley, Thalia Campbell, Joel David Moore, Ernie Hudson and Grace Byers.
