New Planet Of The Apes Movie Finally Completes Matt Reeves’ Reboot Vision 7 Years Later

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is the direct follow-up to War for the Planet of the Apes, and the movie will complete what Matt Reeves intended for the reboot series. The Rupert Wyatt-directed Rise of the Planet of the Apes arrived in 2011 and had no right to be as good as it was. The 2011 movie was following the critically-scathed Tim Burton remake, and the film had to make the audience fully invested in a totally CGI animal protagonist, which was challenging at the time. What followed were two more movies directed by Matt Reeves (The Batman) that were even more thrilling and thought-provoking.
