A new study reveals which streaming platform cancels the most shows, and it wasn’t Netflix. In the years since one-time-DVD-rental company Netflix launched its streaming service in 2007, other platforms have emerged and created tough competition among each other. When Netflix began making hit original shows, including House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, and Grace and Frankie, emergent platforms such as Prime Video and Hulu quickly followed suit. Despite this new age of streaming, there has been a noticeable trend of platforms cancelling original shows at astronomical levels and even removing such content from the catalog permanently.
