Naruto: The Peculiarities of the Afterlife

The Naruto series heavily draws inspiration from Eastern mythologies for much of its concepts, and the series’ notion of an afterlife is no different. The series calls its version of the afterworld the ‘Pure Land,’ a concept that seems to be derived from Buddhist mythology. However, Naruto adds a few elements of its own to this unique notion, making the afterlife a concrete part of its premise.
