Mortal Kombat 2 Can Finally Deliver A Fatality To A 28-Year Franchise Record
Mortal Kombat 2 will continue the fighting franchise’s return to the big screen and could help deliver a fatality to a 28-year-old record. Mortal Kombat has established itself as one of the biggest fighting games of all time, yet its cinematic success has been limited. Despite being around since 1992, the franchise has made just three live-action movies and failed to establish a huge cinematic universe. Its first two movies were released in 1995 and 1997 before the film universe was rebooted with 2021’s Mortal Kombat. With all the unique characters and fascinating fight matchups, so far, the series hasn’t had a memorable theatrical run.
