MK1’s Kameo System Would Give Injustice 3 a Fun Story Twist

Mortal Kombat 1‘s Kameo system was a massive overhaul of the franchise’s combat mechanics. Introducing an assist character with their own specific moves to compliment a player’s chosen character created a wide array of new play style options. With certain Kameos able to perform combo breaks, ranged attacks, aerials, etc., they are able to fill in the gaps of certain base roster characters to round out one’s abilities. The system also allows players to pair up characters that wouldn’t normally be caught dead together. This could be a fun story element in a future NRS game besides Mortal Kombat 1, such as the long-demanded Injustice 3.
