Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Map Size Compared To The First Two Games

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 makes significant advancements beyond the features of its predecessors, and that includes greatly expanding the map size. The web-swinging superhero is synonymous with New York City, the skyscrapers of Manhattan being particularly well-suited for Spider-Man’s preferred method of traversal. NYC contains five boroughs, however, and the first two games – Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – both notably took place solely within a truncated Manhattan. Spider-Man 2 adds portions of Brooklyn and Queens to the mix, practically doubling the map area, even though the game itself takes roughly the same time to beat.
