Manifest Succeeded In Becoming The "New Lost" In The Worst Way

With its many mysteries and supernatural elements, Manifest succeeded at becoming the next Lost — and that may not be a good thing. The NBC drama opened with a similar setup to the ABC series, throwing its characters into chaos after a flight gone awry. Unlike the passengers from Lost, who found themselves stranded on a remote island, those aboard Manifest‘s Flight 828 landed to a more mind-boggling predicament. Unbeknownst to them, five years passed while they were aboard the plane, leading their loved ones to believe they were missing or dead. When they finally returned, they began having visions, or “callings,” and the oddities continued from there.
