JUST IN: Wife Of Binance Executive Detained By Nigerian Government Seeks US Intervention
Mrs. Yuki Gambaryan, the wife of Tigran Gambaryan, one of the Binance executives detained by the Nigerian government, has reached out to the United States government for assistance in securing her husband’s release.
Yuki conveyed her plea through US Senator Cory Booker and Congresswoman Sara Jacobs, who led a delegation to President Bola Tinubu at the State House.
She expressed concern over her husband’s prolonged detention without formal charges and criticized the government’s decision to hold him responsible for his employer’s actions without evidence.
She stated,
“My husband is being held as blackmail, and I urge the Nigerians to release Tigran and pursue their investigation with Binance through proper channels.”
Gambaryan had filed a lawsuit against the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, and the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged violation of his rights.
His colleague, Nadeem Anjarwalla, also filed a separate suit after escaping from custody.
In February, Gambaryan and Anjarwalla were detained by the Nigerian government for financial and other related offenses.
