JUST IN – Manchester United Reportedly In Talks With Barcelona Over €50m Greenwood Transfer

Manchester United is reportedly considering selling Mason Greenwood, with clubs such as Barcelona expressing interest.

The 22-year-old forward, currently on loan at Getafe, has attracted attention, and United is reportedly seeking a fee of €50 million (£43m) for his transfer.

According to reports from Marca, United representatives have engaged in discussions with Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, regarding a potential transfer for Greenwood.

Atletico Madrid is also rumored to be interested, and a permanent move to Getafe remains a possibility.

An unnamed Saudi club has also shown interest in acquiring Greenwood. Despite multiple suitors, Greenwood is said to prefer a move to a team competing in the Champions League.

Greenwood hasn’t played for Manchester United since his suspension in January 2022, following allegations of rape and sexual assault.

However, all charges against him were dropped last year, allowing him to resume his football career. He is currently on loan at Spanish La Liga side Getafe until the end of the current season.
