Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Return Conditions Discussed By Hunger Games Producer & Director

Jennifer Lawrence’s potential return to The Hunger Games has certain conditions. Lawrence played heroine Katniss Everdeen in the four Hunger Games movies, which were based on the young adult novel trilogy of the same name by Suzanne Collins. Although the franchise is returning this month with The Hunger Games Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, based on a 2020 novel by Collins, the movie takes place decades before Katniss’ birth so Lawrence is not set to appear, though in a recent interview she expressed interest in eventually returning to the role.
