IS THAT TRUE? “Zazu Blew Worldwide Before Olamide’s Remix” – Portable Says
Habeeb Okikiola, the Nigerian singer with a controversial reputation, widely recognized as Portable, proudly claimed that his track ‘Zazu’ gained global recognition even before Olamide collaborated on the remix in 2021.
He emphasized that Olamide wouldn’t have extended his assistance if Portable’s popularity hadn’t soared, and his song hadn’t achieved viral success.
Speaking in the latest episode of the Bae U Barbi show, Curiosity Made Me Ask, Portable also debunked claims that he has been riding on the wave of ‘Zazu’ since hitting stardom, stressing that he has released other hit songs and two albums since then.
He said:-
“Since when we did dropped ‘Zazu’ with Baddo [Olamide], that one has gone [sic]. I am the one they [fans] are listening to, I am dropping back to back. If you don’t drop again, they will forget you. If I don’t drop again, they won’t hear me. That is why I am putting more energy.
“It is because I was popular that made Olamide help me. If I wasn’t popular, they won’t help me. ‘Zazu’ blew worldwide. My freestyle went viral” [sic].
