Is That the Enterprise? – Why Star Trek Ships Just Turned Up in Star Wars Canon

Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #38A new Star Wars comic features ships that look remarkably like Star Trek’s Enterprise. As seen in Lucasfilm and Marvel Comics’ ongoing Dark Droids crossover, the sentient droid virus known as The Scourge has been building up its forces by corrupting droids across the galaxy and merging them into its hivemind, though it’s also looking for ways to corrupt organics as well. To that end, a new fleet has emerged in the Star Wars canon through Marvel’s connected Doctor Aphra series, and the similarities to The Enterprise are quite striking.
