Is Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s Teal Mask DLC Still Open-World?

The open-world aspect of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was a major draw for the game, making the question of whether the DLC The Teal Mask follows the same path an important one. Scarlet and Violet were the first mainline Pokémon entries to embrace a true open world, building on limited open-world elements established in Sword and Shield and the spinoff Legends: Arceus. As exploring the region of Paldea without the usual limitations represented a significant evolution for the franchise, the possibility of turning back on that freedom in DLC for the game is an unappetizing idea.
