Harry Potter: What Is The Polyjuice Potion?

In the second Harry Potter movie – The Chamber of Secrets, Hermione Granger suggests the use of the Polyjuice Potion to investigate if Draco Malfoy is the heir of Slytherin. She does so right after their class is told that Salazar Slytherin had built a hidden chamber in Hogwarts Castle, of which the other three school founders were unaware. According to legend, before departing, Slytherin had sealed the Chamber of Secrets so that no one would be able to open it until his true descendant arrived at the school. Slytherin’s heir would be able to “unleash the horror within” to rid the school of children with Muggle parentage. The Hogwarts staff is worried sick, the students are scared, and the plot of the second Harry Potter movie thickens.
