Harry Kane Speaks On Bayern Munich’s Horror Defeat To Lazio
Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane has given a reason for his side’s Champions League round of 16 defeat to Lazio on Wednesday.
Kane said Bayern lacked ‘energy and confidence’, especially in the second half against Lazio.
Recall that Bayen failed to register a single shot against the Serie A side as Ciro Immobile’s 69th penalty was enough to give the host the win against Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Dayot Upamecano sent off for the visitors after giving away the spot-kick in the second half.
Kane himself also missed a sitter from just a few yards out in the early minutes of the match.
Speaking after the game, Kane told TNT Sports:
“Really tough week. In the first half, we started well and had clear chances, one for myself. In these games, they are big moments.
“The second half was disappointing. We came out with less energy and less confidence. Too many balls were given away. We got punished. Once you go down to 10 men it is always difficult. We just need to turn it around. One game or spark can turn it around.”
