Born March 12, 1978 (age 45), she grew up in Kafin Dagi, Katsina, Nigeria. Her parents are both farmers, they raised her as their third and only child. She grew up in a poor background and attended a rural elementary school. She was known as a brilliant and sharp student who loves her studies, she finished primary school in 1989 and did are secondary school in Federal Government College in Kaduna State.

In 1995, she attended Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Kaduna State where she pursuit her tertiary education in English. Then in 1999, she graduated and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and was named as top graduating student in her department.

In 2000, she went further to do her master’s degree program in International Affairs and Diplomacy in ABU, Zaria in Kaduna State.

She was currently dismissed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over financial malfeasance and with the suspension and investigation into the allegations, Dr Akindele Egbuwalo, the National N-POWER Program Manager was appointed to take over her position pending the conclusion of the investigation. The news was announced by the president on January 2, 2024.

Her suspension is coming about three months after the confirmation of her appointment by the Senate.
