GWR Reacts To 227 Hours Cookathon Completion By Ghanaian Chef
The Guinness World Records has responded to the cookathon completion of Failatu Abdul-Razak, a Ghanaian chef, who recorded 227 hours of cooking in ten days.
The Guinness World Records acknowledged Failatu’s attempt to break the record for the longest cooking marathon and stated that her evidence would be investigated.
Failatu aimed to unseat Irish chef Alan Fisher, who set the previous record at 119 hours and 57 minutes.
Fisher’s record was officially validated on November 7, 2023. Abdul-Razak began her cookathon on January 1, 2024, and cooked for 227 hours, covering a wide variety of dishes.
GWR reacted saying;
“We look forward to reviewing her evidence!”
