Good Omens Creator Originally Wanted Hugh Grant To Play Aziraphale
Good Omens creator Neil Gaiman has revealed that he initially planned for Hugh Grant to play the role of the angel Aziraphale in the television adaptation of his original book. Based on the bestselling 1990 novel Gaiman co-authored with Terry Pratchett, Good Omens made its critically acclaimed streaming debut on Prime Video in 2019 with David Tennant as the demon Crowley and Michael Sheen as Aziraphale. In July this year, both actors returned to their respective roles for season 2, and Gaiman currently has plans to wrap up the series with Good Omens season 3.
