Gerard Butler Lawsuit Over Olympus Has Fallen Box Office Profits Settled Before 2024 Trial
Olympus Has Fallen star Gerard Butler has settled his lawsuit regarding alleged withheld profits from the 2013 film. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, Olympus Has Fallen stars Butler as Secret Service agent Mike Banning, who must protect the President after a force of heavily-armed terrorists storm the White House. The movie was a hit, grossing over $170 million worldwide, spawning two sequels. In 2021, Butler sued production companies Nu Image and Millennium Media, alleging that the companies were withholding at least $10 million in profits from him.
